Me llamo Shauna, and that is about the extent of my Spanish proficiency. I’m a 21 year old English major at UNCC with a burning desire to surround myself with the constancy of words. It blows my mind that every book I’ve ever read is just a combination of the same twenty-six beautiful letters. I enjoy music, the kind that as you listen to it, you can hear the soul of the musician pouring through with just the right lyric or note plucked. I truly believe the tea is the cure for all ailments, whether physical or mental. I consider myself to be different from most girls, but I’m no “special snowflake.” I’m a vegetarian but I don’t really care about the animals, I do it for the health benefits. I have a love affair with the ocean; the water sustains me without even trying. I have multiple tattoos and I love each and every one. I’m a fan of Pokemon, Doctor Who. The Avett Brothers, wearing dresses, thrift shopping, and having amazing conversations.

My life is an open book. All the answers are there for you to see, you just have to learn to read between the lines.
